Delaware County, PA

At 08:13 hours, Companies 01 (Folcroft), 05 (Glenolden), 09 (Sharon Hill) & Medic 105 (Mercy Fitzgerald) were dispatched to 725 Grant Ave for the building fire. Police arrived on location and notified fire board of a working fire with numerous explosions in the house. Engine 09-2 quickly dropped a line and 09-3 went straight to the rear of the house. Tower 05 took the front of the building and lead off with an 1 3/4 hand line.  Command ordered all manpower to stage in the front of the building. Assistant Chief 01-9B advised command that bulk of the fire was knocked down with no extension to the 2nd floor. Fire was brought under control at 8:33.

At 15:59 Companies 74(Primos-Secane-Westbrook Park), 20 (Garrettford-Drexel Hill), 03 (Clifton Heights), & Engine 26(Highland Park) were dispatched to 5153 Wesley Drive. for the dwelling fire reported to be in the dryer. Ladder 20 arrived on location to find heavy smoke showing. Ladder 20 went in service with a 1 3/4 while Engine 20-1 dropped a precautionary supply line. Crews from Engine 03-2 took the rear of the building while crews from Quint 3 and Engine 26-1 started to do ventilation. Fire was quickly knocked down with little extension. Fire was brought under control at 16:10 hours.

274 Bodley Road, Cavan Construction for the automatic fire alarm.  Chief 72-9 arrived on scene with smoke evident from the rear bay doors.  Command requested to upgrade the assignment to a working building fire, also requesting Companies 54 (Lenni Heights), 66 (Bethel) and 71 (Chester Heights) for manpower and 57 (Upland) for rapid intervention.  Interior crews reported two vehicles well involved inside the building with numerous explosions.  Crews placed two 1 3/4 lines in service inside the building.  Crews had heavy smoke conditions on first and second floors.  Rescue 66 assisted with positive pressure ventilation.  Fire reported under control at 22:18 hours.

At 19:42 hours, Companies 52 (Brookhaven), 57 (Upland) and 47 (Felton Hose of Chester Twp) were dispatched to the rear of 3443 Washington Ave for an outbuilding fire.  EMS Captain 45-11A (Parkside) arrived on scene with heavy fire evident from a 1 1/2 story garage with numerous explosions.  Chief 52-9 established command and requested Company 72 (Aston Beechwood) for rapid intervention.  Engine 57-2 handled hydrant duties.   Telesqurt 52 went in service with tank water to begin the knock.  Engine 52-1 went in service with a blitz line to the rear of the fire building to assist the telesqurt.   Command advised fire had spread to an electric transformer.  PECO was notified to make an emergency response.  Rescue 47 checked for exposure around surrounding properties and knocked a few brush fires along the way.  Command placed the fire under control at 19:58 hours.

At 02:27 hours, Chester City Companies 82 and 83 were dispatched to 917 Macadam Street for a dwelling fire with numerous calls.  Police arrived on scene with two houses well involved.  Engine 82-1 arrived on scene with heavy fire evident from the first floor of a two story MOR vacant dwelling.  Engine 83-1 arrived on scene and dropped the supply line.  Fire reported under control at 02:56 hours with extensive overhaul.

Delaware County, PA

At 19:50 hours, Companies 02 (Norwood), 05 (Glenolden), 08 (Prospect Park), 43 (Holmes) and Rescue 45 (Parkside) for RIT were dispatched to 220 W. Ridley Ave for a garage fire.  Police arrived on location with fire showing from a garage.  Chief 43-9 arrived and confirmed the police report.  Engine 02-1 went in service with two 1 3/4 water lines charged with foam.  Snozzle 08 also went in service with an 1 3/4 line.  Fire reported under control at 19:58 hours.

At 17:38 hours, Engine 2 was dispatched to 4850 Rhawn Street.  Engine 36 arrived on scene with light smoke evident from the third floor of a 150 x 300 three story factory.  Ladder 15 responded as RIT.  Battalion 13 ordered fire communications to strike out the second alarm.  Battalion 13 requested Philly PD for traffic control.  While en route, Deluge 14 was involved in a minor MVA with no injuries, Engine 56 was dispatched last-in to take Engine Company 14's place.  Sprinkler heads contained the fire to one room.

Upon arrival, Engine 16 reported fire from the 1st Fl. of a 3 story, brick, middle of the row, vacant 15x45 dwelling and placed 2 and 2 in service. Battalion 11 arrived and reported that fire had spread to the 2nd Fl. Searches were negative.

At 01:09, the tactical box was struck for a reported dwelling fire at 204 N 65th St. 19th District Police units requested fireboard. Dwelling was the scene of an earlier domestic stabbing that Medic 23 transported. Upon arrival, Engine 41 reported an odor of smoke from a 2 story, brick, twin, occupied 16x45 dwelling and placed 1 and 1 in service. Battalion 11 arrived and reported the suspect from the earlier stabbing was possibly barricaded inside. Battalion 11 placed 2 and 2 in service for fire on the 1st Fl. Searches found male on the 2nd Fl. Medic 9 treated and transported the male to H.U.P. Male was later pronounced at H.U.P.

At 16:27 hours, Companies 45 (Parkside), 57 (Upland), 65 (Garden City), 50 (Middletown), Truck 69 (Lima) and Tower 14 (Swarthmore) were dispatched to 6 W. Roland Road for the dwelling fire.  Rescue 39 (Lower Chichester) and Company 63 (Green Ridge) responded with manpower.  Tac 45 arrived on scene with heavy smoke evident from the second floor and reports of possible entrapment.  Ladder 65-5 took roof operations.  Numerous handlines were stretched to the attic.  Medic 83-7 (Crozer EMS) requested to the scene to transport a victim with a wrist injury.  Fire reported under control at 16:50 hours with extensive overhaul.

Command requested Company 57 (Upland) for Rapid Intervention.  Interior crews reported fire in the basement walls with a significant smoke condition in the attic.  Fire reported under control at 13:07 hours with all hands working.
